Are you tired of being fed up in Rhode Island?
Do you have the courage to do something about it?
Do you have the courage to put yourself in a position to do something about it?
Do you have the courage to register to vote, regardless of whether or not you intend to vote? We don’t care which, as long as you keep the option open. A lot of things can happen between now and November and we don’t want you to miss out.
Do you believe that our representative form of government demands adherence to the principals of the people’s right to know and the government’s duty to inform, because without it there is no informed electorate?
Do you believe that an elected official must make his decisions based upon; constitution first, majority of constituents second and all others last?
Do you have the courage to go further and consider running for an elective office?
Do you have the courage to go further and consider telling the people in that district or ward that you are considering a run?
Do you have the courage to go into a forum/bulletin board and let potential constituents find out who you are, why you’re considering a run, and what you would do for them if they put their faith in you – before making your decision? Fed Up in RI will be providing that place to all the candidates that are fed up and want to do something about it. The forum will be your place to test the waters, rally support and coordinate a campaign.
What do you have to lose? You’re already fed up. Just push the plate they’ve been serving you away and say; “I’ve had enough!”
If you’re considering a run and you share these beliefs, no matter what your political affiliation, then email us and let us know, so that we can create a page on the forum just for your ward or district.
If you’re considering it, remember that you must be a registered voter to run for a political office 30 days before you file your declaration of candidacy. The deadline to register for candidates in the 2014 is May 25, 2014.
