THE IMPORTANCE OF BALANCED TWO PARTY OPPOSITION TO KEEP THE SHIP OF STATE ON COURSE ©

The two party system in the State of Rhode Island should operate like a ship. The rudder and the mast are placed in the middle of the ship with the port sail (left) side for the ‘liberal’ Democrats and the starboard (right) side for the ‘conservative’ Republicans.

Now any sailor knows that in order for a sailing vessel to go forward in a straight line it must tack left and right at various times and under various conditions according to the wind ( the economy.)  But if it tacks too long and too hard it will lose the wind. And if left in that position the ship of state will eventually turn around and head in the opposite direction. And that is true whether the ship is tacking left (liberal) or right (conservative).  This formula has worked well for the United States as a whole with things pretty much changing every 8 years, but this has never been practiced or adopted here in Rhode Island.

RHODE ISLAND IS PROOF POSITIVE THAT POWER CORRUPTS AND ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY.

Rhode Island started off Republican, which went on from our inception to the “bloodless revolution” of 1935.  By the end, it was openly and utterly corrupted.  But since the Revolution it has been on an endless liberal Democratic tack and just as before, it is and has been for quite some time riddled with scandal and corruption.  The names Bevilaqua, Saint Germain, Fay,  Smith, Alves, Cellona, Irons, Murphy  and Fox are known to all of us – and that’s just the malfeasant democrats we have been made aware of.

The problem is that everything in this Country is mixed up and upside down.  The Republican and Democratic Parties have become Republicrats and Demolicans; and both – as far as I can see – are hostile to our Constitutions.  They use the term “progressive” to rip God given constitutionally guaranteed rights from us and our posterity; and conservative constitutionalists have been labeled as the fringe and extremists and thus have gone silent.

This Country and the State of Rhode Island are floundering on a tack that has gone too far, for too long. The conservatives who have all but given up must wake up, realize their true power that they are the true majority, that they can win any seat in this State Legislature they so choose and that they are 100% backed by the Rhode Island Constitution.  And then they must come to their deck, take the rudder from the liberals who are heading nowhere with no wind and reset the sails on a new tack. I believe that it’s the only thing that will once again fill the sails with the wind which will restore the Ship of State and our economy.
